As mentioned on our home page, the Hobbytime store has been serving customers in the Central Massachusetts area for over twenty-seven years. My name is Elaine McCool and I am the owner/operator of the hobby shop. I was born and raised in Worcester, MA and, after working at various jobs, including youth counselor and nursing home cook, got a job at Hobbytown in the Worcester Center mall. I soon became manager and in 1985 bought the store and ventured out on my own.

My husband, Mike was born and raised in England in a town just north of London and came to this country almost thirty years ago. He was one of my first customers as a matter of fact! Mike has been building plastic models since the age of five, specializing in model aircraft and armor. If you have a question about model construction, he's your man.

If you have checked out our Hobbytime home page, you already know that we will soon be closing the store. Our lease is up on June 17, 2012 and we will not be renewing. It has become next to impossible to keep up with the expenses of operating the storefront. I will continue to run my gift basket business as that does not require a good retail location, but the hobby business has run its course. Thanks to all our good customers for your support over the years!

We are currently running a "Going Out of Business Sale", so come on down to 317 Southbridge St. in Auburn, MA and stock up on hobby supplies at a discount!
