We recently received an email from someone who is interested in getting together with other wooden model ship enthusiasts. Since this seemed like a good idea, we asked permission to publish that email here on our website, so here it is: "I build 18th & 19th/early 20th century wood ship models in my “spare” time. I’m looking for a group of guys or ladies who have similar interests who would like to meet to share notes and techniques. Are you aware of such a group, or individuals who may be interested in starting such a group, roughly within the Central MA area? If so, please pass along my email so they can contact me.

Most of our customers agree that our location at 317 Southbridge St., Auburn, MA, is much nicer than our old "home" just up the street. It is roomier, brighter, and laid out so that it is easier to see the hobby items you're looking for. We are right next to the House of Wheels, so it's easy to spot us. Our signs are up -- one large one on the front of the building and a smaller one on the side of the building facing Drury Square, unfortunately, we have yet to get a really good photo of the building to post on this site. If you haven't been in to see us since our move, please drop by to say hello and take a look at our new "digs".

Our hobby shop is located just outside of Worcester on Southbridge St., Auburn, MA. The easiest way to get to the hobby shop from Worcester is to take route 290 to the Auburn St., Auburn exit (number 9) and take a left off the ramp. Turn left at the first set of lights onto Southbridge St. (Rte 12 North). Look for Hobbytime on the right just past the gas station and a large two-story business building. We stock a wide range of hobby supplies, from the usual model railroading, radio control cars, planes and boats, plastic models, wooden ships, rockets and dollhouses to the more unusual: art supplies, candle-making, our own line of hand-crafted jewelry (MoonStones JewelryTM), HighlightsTM hand-crafted specialty gel candles, and Greenbriar Gift BasketsSM.
